Crochet the Openwork Rib Stitch

The Openwork Rib Stitch is an easy stitch friendly for beginners and would be great for baby blankets, headbands, hats, scarves, cowls and sweaters!



Abbreviations:

Ch - chain/s
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet
Tr - treble crochet



Pattern:

Chain in multiplies of 2.

Row 1: 3ch, dc into 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch to the end of the row, turn.

Row 2: 5ch, skip 1 dc, tr into next dc, *1ch, skip 1 dc, 1 tr into next dc; rep from * to end.

Row3: 3ch, *2dc into next 1ch sp; rep from * to end, last dc into 4th ch in tch.

Repeat rows 1-3 until you have reached your desired length.
