The Cundy Basket

When you have kids you have a house full of toys. Moms can really understand me. In every room, every corner there is something big or something small, you step up on it, you kick it and then get mad, but at same time you smile because you realize that all this toy mess was created by your children, your little tresaure!

I had to think something to save space and also have their little things together. So, crocheted baskets came to my mind. This is my second one and i am going to share the pattern with you! I have crocheted one more before this for their bath toys. The pattern is really simple and quick to create it.
I am pretty sure you won't stop at one. I will definitely not 😉

Abbreviations:
Ch - chain
St - stitch/es
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
Dc2tog - double crochet 2 together
Hdc2tog - half double crochet 2 together
BLO - back loop only
Fpdc- front post double crochet
*____* - repeat from * to *


Materials:

• 2 balls cotton macrame yarn - 1 in pink and 1 in white (i used Diva cotton macrame)
• 5mm crochet hook
• Scissors

PATTERN:
With pink color ch 6, sl st to join and create a circle.
Work 12 dc into the circle, ch2

Round 1: dc into 1st st, 2dc in every st all around, sl st to join (24st)
Round 2: ch2, dc into 1st st, dc, *2dc, dc* sl st to join (36st)
Round 3: ch2, dc into 1st st, dc, dc *2dc, dc, dc* sl st to join (48st)
Round 4: ch2, dc into 1st st, dc, dc, dc *2dc, dc, dc, dc* sl st to join (60st)

Round 5: ch2, dc into 1st st, dc, dc, dc, dc *2dc, dc, dc, dc, dc* sl st to join (72st)
Round 6: ch2, dc(BLO) in 2nd st and in every st all around until you reach your 2 last st, dc2tog(BLO), sl st to join
Round 7: ch2, Fpdc in 2nd st, *dc, Fpdc*, sl st to join
Rounds 8-12: repeat row 7
                         Change color to white
Rounds 13-16: repear row 7
Round 17: ch2 (note: work from 2nd st) hdc2tog until your last st, hdc, sl sl st to join
                    Change color to pink
Round 18: ch1, sc in each of the next 10st (note: start from 1st st), ch8, skip the next 4st, sc in every st all around, sl st to join
 Change color to white
Round 19: ch2, hdc in each of the next 10 st (note: start from 2nd st), 8hdc under the ch of 8 from previous row, hdc in every st all around, sl st to join

Cut the yarn.

And this is it 😁 So easy and so simple!!
