Acrobatic stitch is a lovely and quick stitch even for a beginner. Using basic stitches such as double and treble crochet and chainning you create a beautiful pattern. You can use this stitch for making tabble runners, cardigans, cowls, scarves.
Abbreviations:
Ch – chain/es
Dc – double crochet
Tr – treble crochet (yarn over twice to start)
Dtr – double trouble crochet (yarn over 3 times to
start)
St – stitch/es
*_* - repeat from * to *
Pattern:
Chain in multiplies of 6 plus 3
Row 1: (Right
side) 2dc into the 3rd ch from hook, * ch4, skip 5ch, 5dc*, repeat
from * to * until your last 6ch, skip 5ch, 3 dc into last ch.
Turn.
Row 2: Ch2
(count as 1dc), skip the first 3sts (the dc from previous row),
work [3dc, 3ch, 3dc] into next 4ch space, *skip next 5dc, work [3dc, 3ch, 3dc]
into next 4ch space *, repeat from * to * until the last 3st, skip 2dc, dc into
the top of the turning ch.
Turn.
Row 3: Ch6
(count as 1dtr and 1ch), 5dc into next 3ch space, *4ch, 5dc
into next 3ch space*, repeat from * to * until the last 3dc, ch1, skip 3dc, dtr
into the top of the turning ch.
Turn.
Row 4: Ch5
(count as 1tr and 1ch), 3dc into the next ch1 space, *skip 5dc, work
[3dc, 3ch, 3dc] into next 4ch space*, repeat from * to * until the last 6st,
skip 5dc, work [3dc, 1ch, 1tr] into the top of the turning ch.
Turn.
Row 5: Ch3
(count as 1dc), 2dc into the next ch1 space, *ch4, 5dc into next ch3 space*, repeat
from * to * until the last 6dc, ch4, skip next 6dc, 3dc into the top of the
turning ch.
Turn.
Repeat rows 2 - 5 until you'll reach your desired length.
